JOHNNY MOHAWK AND THE ASSASSINS

Photobucket
Formed in the fall of 2004 in Smalltown, Ohio, Johnny Mohawk & The Assassins set about making music that fell under the self-coined category of "drunk" rock. Combining the true roots of punk with elements of 80's metal and 50's gumption, JMA honed a sound pointed squarely at the rocker, punker and drunkard in all of us. With their mission statement in place, one that offered up a "rockin’, high-energy show filled with catchy songs featuring lyrics that’ll piss off the sheltered stuck-ups of this great country we live in," they went on the attack. By the winter of 2005, the line up of Johnny Mohawk (vox), Karaoke Bob (guitar), Gary Piston (bass) and The Chad (drums) went on to play shows throughout the Midwest and found that they seemed to be improving with every gig. Finally, after considerable roadwork, they landed in the studio to make their debut record "Drinking As Always" for Jib Machine Records.

It wasn’t long before the group started working on new material but in the end, the new songs were enough of a departure from punk to convince Gary Piston, the resident punk purist, that he no longer wished to continue with the group and so he quietly left in September of 2007. His replacement on bass, Saint Matthew, was more aligned with this new direction now dubbed "prog punk" and fit the bill quite nicely. Since then, the sound of JMA has morphed into something more unique than ever before, as if King Crimson fell down the Misfits’ stairs and landed on Kiss among many others. This vast assortment of musical influences now gives us a more detailed, finely tuned Johnny Mohawk & The Assassins with songs that showcase the various strengths of its members. So brace yourselves and freshen your grip on your beer can(s) because it is, as they say on the mean streets of [enter your city here], on!!

HOT HAM & CHEESE

Photobucket
Hot Ham & Cheese formed in February 2005 when Robby Mitchell (Drums) and Charile (Vox/Guitar) jammed together for the first time. Bassist Louie Styx completed the line-up in July 2005. Shortly after signing with Cleveland indie label, Jib Machine Records, HH*C released their first CD (HH*C e.p.) in 2006, followed by a lo-fi instrumental album (beta) in 2007 and their first full-length (Revolution & Revelations) in April 2008. HH&C has built a strong following thanks in part to their energetic, aggressive live performances, which have stretched across the country in cities such as Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Indianapolis, New York City, Chicago, Vegas, Phoenix, Sacramento and Salt Lake City.

HH&C’s sound has been described as an eclectic mix of rock, punk, funk and metal combined with in-your-face lyrics that cover all things relevant in life. They’ve been compared to the likes of Black Sabbath, Primus, The Melvins, Clutch and the Dead Kennedys to name a few.

HOSTILE OMISH

Formed in a small farm cellar in the outskirts of Ohio's Amish country, these boys were soon ex-communicated from their village for using electricity. It was from then on that their only goal was to travel through the cities of America and spread the word of a sound they call "barncore".

The name 'Hostile Omish' has been synonymous with cleveland punk for over fifteen years. with four national tours and three major releases, they have steadily become one of the area's most talked about acts. It is their live performances that speak for themselves. The chance to get up on stage and churn some butter is something you do not want to pass up!

7th DAY CREEPS

Photobucket
Formed in October 2004 after an alcohol induced religous experience, the Creeps live by a three point mission statment...keep it loud, keep it catchy and make 'em come back for more! The group uses 1st wave punk rock, 80s metal and adds a splash of sleazy b-grade movie horror imagery to the mix. Their sound has been compared to Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick, Motorhead, The Ramones and The Clash. These guys have been gigging everywhere and anywhere over the last 2 years to promote their 1st self=released cd Does this taste Funny? and they've now partnered with Jib Machine Records to release their next offering Meat The Creeps in 2010.
